Six Flags Unofficial Guide
Urban legends about theme parks throughout the U.S. abound, and tourists seem to have a strong curiosity when it comes to these stories, both true and fabricated. Some of the urban legends stem from real tragedies that have occurred due to accidents within the sixflags theme parks. However it’s the legends that no one can prove or disprove that cause the most interest.
One interesting urban legend about SixFlags Magic Mountain involved a reported UFO sighting over the city of Santa Clarita, seen from the Pagoda Tower. Another urban legend is that Sky Tower has the same height underground as it does above ground. One urban legend which attracts modern day ghost hunters is centered around SixFlags over Georgia. Legend has it that there is a ghost of a little girl in the park who will try to lead visitors far into the woods and then vanish, leaving guests to find their way back.
As long as there are theme parks, there will be urban legends about them. If nothing more, it stirs up interest in the parks and brings in visitors who try to find the proof themselves.
