Six Flags Unofficial Guide

New thrill for 2011: SkyScreamer - imagine swinging on a merry go round 23 Stories in the air!  SkyScreamer is sure to live up to it's name!

Six Flags St. Louis is located in Eureka, MO, just west of St. Louis.  Since opening in 1971 under the name Six Flags Over Mid-America, the park has proven to be a very popular weekend destination for midwestern families.

Six Flags St. Louis consists of 8 themed areas and a water park (included with admission).  Included in the themed areas is a children's section based on Looney Tunes characters, named Bugs Bunny National Park.  Although known for their thrilling adult rides, Six Flags St. Louis has plenty to offer for children in the form of 22 rides and attractions.  Just as some adult rides have minimum height requirements, some "kiddie" rides have maximum height requirements (sorry mom and dad!).  Additional child-friendly rides are available in the water park section (appropriate attire required, open May 28 - Labor Day).

Six Flags St. Louis currently has 11 attractions labeled as "Max thrills" - their highest intensity rating.  They each have height restrictions as noted.

Tickets: General admission is available at the gate, however it should be noted that buying your ticket in advance online saves a significant amount over gate pricing.  There is an additional fee for parking.  You can also opt to buy a Flash Pass (starting at $30) which allows for priority entry to many rides, thus shortening your time standing in lines.  For general admission ticket pricing see SixFlags parks and info.
