Six Flags Unofficial Guide

Located in Darien, New York, only 45 minutes from Niagara Falls (near Buffalo), Six Flags Darien Lake was sold to Parc Management in 2006 and is no longer associated with SixFlags Inc.  The theme park now operates under the name of Darien Lake.

What started out as a local campground and picnic spot in the 1970's gradually became a modern-day theme park, with roller coasters, concerts, and a waterpark.  The park has been under different managements through the decades but still remains a local favorite.  Some of the top attractions include a launch coaster added in 2008 and a laser light and fireworks show.  Also Six Flags Darien Lake is home to a large Performing Arts center which hosts concerts throughout the spring and summer.

Darien Lake also welcomes a new water park to the site, called Splashtown.

Season Passes for one or both parks are available for those who plan to visit multiple times per season.

A wide array of accommodations are available to visitors, including hotels, cabins, RV rentals, and a campground.

Darien Lake operates seasonally due to the cool NY climate, opening in May and closing for the season in October.

Six Flags Darien Lake is located at 9993 Allegheny Road, PO Box 91, Darien Center, NY 14040
